>>> Monday, December 12th - 3:08 pm by Laura

Hello!  Happy Sparkle Season readers!

We got our tree last weekend and have been enjoying setting it up, decorating and playing underneath it.  Here is some video about our tree.  Our dear mother added subtitles to support your comprehension of the Tomo dialect. Enjoy!

Hello!

I went to the playground with my dear mother and my big brother today.  Tomo and Mama put me on the swing for the first time.   Tomo loved pushing me and I loved being pushed.  My big brother is fantastic!

Hello!

This past week Tomo and Papa went to two pumpkin patches.  The first was to the pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay with Tomo's class.  The second was in Petaluma with Momi and me, Ru.  Tomo said the the "corn tunnel (corn maze) was pretty fun"  There are some pictures in the new October folder in the photographs section.  My mother took a video of me chewing on hay and added a soundtrack. Please enjoy!

What We Doin'

>>> Saturday, October 8th - 8:44 pm by Laura

Hello Readers,

You may have been wondering what we have been up.  The biggest news is that I have started going to school.  I go for three hours a day in the afternoon.  I am in the Bumblebee group.  At school I like to play with trucks and sand, ride bikes and eat crackers.  If you'd like to see what my family has been up to, please watch the video montage below; my dear mother has strung together many of the little videos that she and Papa have taken over the past 8 weeks or so.  Enjoy!

Hello Everyone,

Haruka here.  I have been looking friendly lately.  My mother took some video of me on my changing table.  It is one of my favorite places because, like my brother, I like to kick my legs about pantless.

A Visit From Grumby and Gumpa

>>> Tuesday, June 21st - 8:04 pm by Laura

Hello Readers,

My grandparents came to visit me and meet my small sister.  They found her very cute but I am much more interesting as I do more than grunt and spit up.  We had several outings and my dear mother made some videos of our time together.

Tomo's Second Birthday

>>> Tuesday, April 5th - 9:15 pm by Laura

Hello everyone,

As of Tuesday morning at 9:45 I have completed two years of life.  My parents threw a party for me on Saturday.  My dear aunt Julia came in from Chicago for the event.  My tios helped us prepare.  The party began at the park near our house.  Then some of us went back to my house for dinner and cake.  I opened a few presents including a gigantic panda from Aunt Julia.  Here is a little movie with some of the events of the party.  Stay tuned for birthday party pictures that are coming soon.

Bison

>>> Tuesday, March 29th - 1:25 pm by Laura

Hello everyone,

Lately I have taken an interest in bison.  There are several in a giant paddock in Golden Gate Park about 7 blocks from our house.  This morning my dear parents and I were able to get very close and see the bison eating and sleeping.  All they do is sleep or eat grass.  I like to say bison over and over again and sometimes act out eating and sleeping.  Here is a very, very short slide show movie my dear mother made of the three of us, the bison and me saying bison many, many times.  Enjoy!!

Running!

>>> Sunday, September 26th - 9:46 pm by Laura

Good evening,

I am becoming a rather talented runner.  I like to play chase with my dear mother.  I especially enjoy it when I am avoiding something, like a diaper change or trying to get something that she has, like a remote or a camera.

Please enjoy my running and the closeup shots of my teeth.  I go to the dentist tomorrow!

At the Farmers' Market

>>> Saturday, September 18th - 10:36 pm by Laura

Hello!

My mother just accidently deleted this entry.  It used to say something about me being helpful.  She can't remember so she will just list the ways that I have been helpful lately: carrying bags, carrying the laundry keys, choosing fruit, handing objects to one parent or the other.

Here is a video of me helping to choose fruit for the first time at the Farmers' Market.  I still go each week with my mother and one of my tios.

Tomo, His Parents' Apprentice

>>> Wednesday, June 16th - 8:35 pm by Laura

Hello,

I have been helping out at home.  I am very good at pushing and getting in the way of the vacuum, brooms and the push mower. Here I am working the broom.  Please note that I am working at super speed.  Also please note that the music is from The Sorcerer's Apprentice; think Mickey in Fantasia or Dukas and Goethe if you were a music and/or English major.

Note- Chris and I have spent some time this evening pronouncing Goethe (we downloaded the audio from wikipedia).  Then we debated whether or not Goethe would be included in an English major or philosophy major and we learned all sorts of fun facts about him.  Chris thought others might want to learn more too, and showed me how to create links.  I went a little link crazy.  So now you can choose to get a bit more learned up too.

There is a HUGE statue in lincoln park of Goethe in all of his half-naked glory with a sign that reads GOETHE: MASTERMIND OF THE GERMAN PEOPLE. very inspirational. Oh, and it's also a street name. So, the lady voice on the bus says "Ger-ta" and people when they hear it for the first time are like "whhaaaaa?".

ps. can you send T over to sweep the animal hair off our floors? it looks like we have carpet. (we dont)

Hello friends,

I think that eating is delicious.  My mother is proud to report that I have been working on creating the perfect bite.  Sometimes I pick up my food and stack it just so onto my spoon and then I stick the spoon into my mouth.  Fantastic!  My dear mother made a montage of the three of us eating.  Enjoy!

I have been practicing using a spoon.  I'm pretty good at it, but often I peter out and get lazy halfway through the bowl.  Here I am eating a typical breakfast of oatmeal with apples, blueberries and carrot.

Yes, I am not wearing pants. It was no-pants time. I hope you have a no-pants time in your house too. If not, I recommend it.  A healthy breeze about your fancy bits is quite nice.

And yes, my mother is ignoring me.  My papa decided to make a movie whilst she and tio Nobie were discussing dinner menus.  Apparently that evening I slept through dinner and Beatles Rockband.
